Nelle Harper lee side aka Harper Lee was born on April 28, 1926 in Monroeville, Alabama. She was born to Amasa Coleman Lee and Francis Cunningham Finch Lee, the quartern and youngest child of the family. Amasa Lee, Harper Lees father served as state senator in the Alabama Legislature (1927-1939) and practiced as a lawyer in Monroeville, while her mother Francis Lee was a housewife. Harper Lee attended Huntingdon College (1944-45), The University of Alabama (45-49), and Oxford University in England to study law. She had no degrees but she went on to pursue her literary career because law was not her career calling. During the 1950s she worked as a reservation clerk for Eastern air lines and BOAC in New York City. Harper Lee moved on to management on writing which led to a successful new(a) cognise as To Kill a jeerer that win a Pulitzer Prize in 1961.
To Kill a Mockingbird was the only and successful novel that Harper Lee had wrote. It is a semi-autobiographical story. The story begins in Maycomb, Alabama where Atticus Finch portrays Harpers real father and defends a black man known as Tom Robinson. Atticus Finch is a lawyer and takes the pillowcase to defend Tom from raping a young white young woman named Mayella Ewell.
